Pediatric Services

Keeping Kids Healthy

At SBCHC we aim to work with our families to keep children healthy. We provide well check-ups as well as diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses in children. We also provide referral services for children who may need specialty services.

We provide a variety of services for our children:

  • Nutrition assessment and guidance
  • Growth assessment
  • Developmental assessments
  • Immunizations prevent serious childhood illnesses:
    • DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis) – recommended at ages 2-18 months and 4-6 yrs, before starting school
    • Polio – recommended at ages 2- 18 months and 4-6 yrs , before starting school
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – recommended at ages 12 months and  4-6 yrs, before starting school
    • Tetanus and Pertussis Booster (Tdap) – recommended at ages 11-12, and every 10 years thereafter
    • Hepatitis A – recommended at ages 1-2
    • Hepatitis B – recommended at ages birth to 18 months
    • Flu shots – recommended yearly for children ages 6 months and older
  • Sports/School Physicals
  • Well Child exams
  • Sick visits

Special Programs for our Children and Adolescents

Weight Management Clinic

The Weight Management Clinic is a multidisciplinary program which has been developed for evaluation and treatment of obesity in children. The goal of the program is to make meaningful lasting lifestyle changes to control weight and to decrease possible medical complications of obesity. The patients enrolled in this program will be seen by pediatricians who specialize in obesity, registered dietitians and exercise specialists.
