Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer:

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with promoting our health center services and programs. All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and undergo a background check.

Special Events

Our highest need areas are in special events and outreach, specifically for our Spring and Fall health fairs. At these events, you may greet guests, assist with set-up and tear-down, pass out educational materials or help with crowd control depending on your preference. For more information on volunteering at our health fair(s) or other outreach events please email IIa Castleberry, Community Health Coordinator at icasselberry@sbchc.net

Student/Corporate

If you are a student organization or Corporation looking for a group volunteer opportunity, please contact Luis Zelaya, Programs Manager at lzelaya@sbchc.net

Medical Professionals

If you are a registered nurse or provider who would like to learn more about opportunities to help with vaccine drives, health education programs, or health screenings, please contact Gabrielle Foytik, Director of Community Health at gfoytik@sbchc.net

We welcome groups that are interested in gardening, hosting food and toy drives, or performing maintenance at our facilities and more.

Make an in-kind donation

We are always looking for donations to offset the cost of supplies that we would otherwise have to buy.

Ongoing needs include:

Baby shower items for our "Becoming a Mom” program participants:

Diapers (size newborn), baby wipes, Johnson & Johnson baby powder, head-to-toe wash, shampoo, lotion and diaper rash ointment like Desitin or Aquaphor (no used or open items can be accepted),

School supplies for our annual Back-to-School Vaccine Drive, including:

spiral notebooks, copy paper, construction paper, binders, backpacks, glue sticks, Elmer’s school glue, crayons, washable Crayola markers, erasers, #2 pencils, 4x6 index cards, map pencils, scissors, etc.

New toys (still in their original packaging) for pre-K (4-year-old) children for our annual Christmas Toy Drive.

If you are a medical supply or equipment distributor and you would like to make a donation, please contact development@sbchc.net.

For all other inquiries, including clarification on what we can accept or to arrange a drop-off, please email Bren Gorman, Director of Development at development@sbchc.net.
