Marlen J. Trujillo, MBA

Chief Executive Officer

Marlen Trujillo joined the health center in March of 2006. She received her BBA from the University of Houston in Finance & Marketing and obtained her MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University. Ms. Trujillo oversees the overall operations of the health center and maintains compliance with grant deliverables. She is responsible for the supervision and administration of all staff and functions, as well as managing personnel systems and monitoring activities to achieve the goals as outlined in the health and business plans. Ms. Trujillo anticipates, identifies and resolves problems; allocates resources, interacts with the community, providers and partners; and, responds to opportunities and planning for future growth.

 


 

Michael G. Bsaibes, MBA

Chief Operations Officer

Michael Bsaibes joined SBCHC in 2007 after receiving his Bachelor Degree in Management from Texas State University. He is a recent graduate of Bauer College at the University of Houston with his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. As the Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Bsaibes is responsible for the clinical and administrative operations of the organization that includes all activities related to the delivery of services to health center patients. This includes monitoring the adequacy of the delivery system, monitoring provider productivity, responsible for patient flow and general operations. He also ensures that there are appropriate internal controls through reporting and monitoring the accuracy of data.

 


 

David W. Hobson, MD

chief medical officer

David Wilbur Hobson MD joined SBCHC in 2017 as Chief Medical Officer. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He completed his residency serving as Chief Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine. He has served his patients in private practice in the Houston metropolitan area and has worked with Federally Qualified Health Centers in Dallas and Richmond Texas. Aside from medicine he is master gardener.

 


Mary Ellen McEvoy, RN, MSN/MPH

chief compliance officer

Mary Ellen McEvoy re-joined Spring Branch Community Health Center in 2016, previously having served as Clinical Quality Manager. She graduated with her Bachelor's in Nursing from Georgetown University. She later received her Masters in Community Health Nursing and Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on health program evaluation and implementation. She has worked in a variety of specialties including Women's Health, Behavioral/Mental Health, Medical Tourism, Organ Transplant, and Primary Care. Currently, Mary Ellen is responsible for the investigation and resolution of compliance concerns within the organization. Additionally, she serves as a resource for Joint Commission accreditation, Primary Care Medical Home Certification, Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement planning, as well as data submissions to HRSA.

 


Lori McCain, CPA, CGMA

Chief financial officer

Lori McCain joined SBCHC in 2016, with over 19 years of experience as a health center chief financial officer, and several years of experience in public accounting. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston-Victoria, is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas CPA Society, and the Houston CPA Society. In her role as CFO, Ms. McCain serves as the focal point for all financial operations of the health center, develops and executes financial policies and procedures, and is responsible for all functions of the accounting and patient billing departments.
