Spring Branch Community Health Center (SBCHC) is a private, non-profit community health center providing quality, affordable healthcare services to the underserved and uninsured communities of Spring Branch and West Houston.
SBCHC was developed to reduce area health disparities by creating a neighborhood-based health center and by providing comprehensive primary health care services that are culturally competent, linguistically appropriate and client-driven in a location easily accessible to public transportation.
SBCHC was formed in 2003 and began providing comprehensive health care services to indigent and low-income patients in the Spring Branch community in May 2004. Designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in September 2005, SBCHC offers medical care, mental health, dental care to both children and adults, no matter what your income.
To increase the number of healthy families in our community by providing high quality, comprehensive health services.
To champion community wellness by providing integrated health services to all.
Healthy Families. Healthy Community.
SBCHC Culture and Values
You care intensely about the mission and question actions inconsistent with our values
You inspire others with your commitment to improving the community’s health
You seek what is best for the organization, rather than best for yourself
You are non‐political when you disagree with others
You seek to understand our patient needs to align them with our mission and goals
You learn rapidly and eagerly to accomplish amazing amounts of important work
You demonstrate consistently strong performance so colleagues can rely upon you
You challenge prevailing assumptions with new ideas when warranted, and suggest better approaches
Your actions embody the mission of increasing access to healthcare services through our medical services, dental services and community
Supporting patient needs by going the extra step to help them navigate the healthcare system
You identify root causes, get beyond treating symptoms and make wise decisions
You think strategically, and can articulate what you are, and are not, trying to do
You consider yourself a part of the solution and identify appropriate coworkers to involve in continual improvement efforts
You treat people with respect independent of their status or disagreement with you
You are ego‐less when searching for the best ideas and take time to help colleagues
You listen well, instead of reacting fast, so you can better understand
You share information openly, proactively and contribute in other areas beyond your department
Thank you for trusting us with your healthcare.
