A Capital Campaign for the Houston Community

Houston faces a growing healthcare crisis. With one of the highest uninsured rates in the nation, more than one million families delay or go without care, suffer from preventable conditions, and rely on overcrowded emergency rooms—costing Texas over $1.7 billion annually. Rapid population growth and shrinking federal funding threaten to deepen these disparities.

Spring Branch Community Health Center is stepping forward—at a pivotal moment—to change the future of care.

Our Vision: A Stronger, Healthier Community

For more than 20 years, Spring Branch Community Health Center (SBCHC) has provided high-quality, compassionate care to nearly 28,000 patients each year, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Serving Spring Branch, West Houston, and more than 100 zip codes, SBCHC is ranked among the top 10% of Federally Qualified Health Centers nationwide.

Our integrated, whole-person care model brings services together to meet people where they are—medically, emotionally, and socially. From primary and women’s health to behavioral health, dental care, nutrition services, youth housing, and early literacy support, SBCHC delivers care that improves outcomes and strengthens families.

The Moment: Why Now

Demand for care is rising faster than our capacity. Dispersed clinics, limited space, and rising lease costs restrict our ability to expand services and coordinate care. Without action, access gaps will continue to grow—especially for uninsured and underinsured families.

Now is the moment to invest in a sustainable, long-term solution.

The Campaign: A $10 Million Investment in Health Equity

SBCHC has launched Securing the Future of Health, a $10 million capital campaign to transform how care is delivered in our community. This bold investment will double capacity, eliminate inefficiencies, and create a permanent foundation for integrated, accessible care.

Campaign initiatives include:

  • Creation of a 48,275-square-foot TotalHealth Campus—a centralized, all-in-one health hub that brings medical, behavioral, dental, and supportive services together under one roof

  • Investments in equipment, technology, and reserve funds to support long-term operational excellence and financial sustainability

The Impact: More Than a Building

The TotalHealth Campus is more than a building—it is an investment in the long-term health of our community. By supporting this capital campaign, you help ensure that individuals and families can access comprehensive, coordinated health care without barriers, delays, or fragmentation.

This campaign will:

  • Expand access to integrated care

  • Improve patient outcomes and experience

  • Strengthen care coordination across services

  • Secure SBCHC’s ability to serve future generations
