National Health Center Week 2023

SBCHC observes National Health Center Week August 6-12, 2023

Spring Branch Community Health Center observed National Health Center Week August 6-12, 2023, to celebrate and advocate for Community Health Centers that serve the healthcare needs of America’s most vulnerable residents.

Sponsored by the National Association of Community Health Centers, the annual National Health Center Week takes place during the first full week of August to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1,400 Community Health Centers. National Health Center Week focuses attention on the dedication and spirit of service of Community Health Center staff, board members, and supporters for these neighborhood resources to provide quality, comprehensive healthcare services to more than 30 million patients annually.

2023 Theme: The Roadmap to a Stronger America

This year’s theme is The Roadmap to a Stronger America, and each day of the weeklong observance focuses on a different group of people who are essential for and contribute to the success of Community Health Centers. Here are highlights from SBCHC’s celebration of the Week:

Healthcare for the Homeless Day – Monday, August 7

The Supportive Housing Team’s first ever “Drop Your Socks Campaign” collected a total of 685 pairs of new socks from all of our clinic and Admin locations and distributed them, along with hygiene kits, to 212 individuals in our area who need them. Thank you again to all the staff who participated and donated.
