Wellness Tips 2023

Wellness Tips from SBCHC Registered Nutritionist Dietician, Ngan Ly

It’s never too late and you’re never too busy to take concrete steps (literally) to eat healthier, and become more active, even during the ordinary activities of your day.

Micro Workouts

Bite-sized, low-intensity movements that can be done in seconds, anywhere and at any time.

Examples:

  • Heating food in the microwave? Perform calf raises until the timer beeps.
  • On hold with a call? Perform a wall sit.
  • 10 minutes before your next Teams meeting? Do a short circuit of lunges, push-up and squats.

Eat your water!

Try these super-hydrating foods rich with nutrients and water.

More Examples:

  • Yogurt
  • Grapes
  • Cantaloupes
  • Squash
  • Carrots
  • Pears
  • Pineapple
